I, by accident mostly, saw this guy at a tiny bar in a tiny town in southwest Minnesota. I had only heard that some guy who played delta blues was playing a show in about an hour, so I head out there to check it out. It was pretty cool to just check out. Then I read up about him the next day. Damn that was even more surprising!

Lovely,
I saw him a few times with Homesick about 10 years ago, I was 2.86 feet from him both times ...much to the annoyance of the wee woman behind me ..ooopps..but it is Homesick ...Poor Bob's pal!

He has a lovely style and for me(I haven't heard much of his later stuff) he is alongside Calvin Frazier for that type of accoustic playing which is really the basis of electric blues NOT passed through the usual Chicago suspects,and it's how I try and play it really.
