Sonny Boy II.....
"If you whup her when she needs it, the judge won't let you explain."
How insanely (yet somehow wonderfully) politically incorrect.

"Meanest people I ever seen"

"I asked her for water... she gave me gasoline"

"What kind of woman is that?"

Not strictly blues, but Boozoo Chavis sang:

"Uncle Bud got this, Uncle Bud got that,
Uncle Bud got a pecker like a baseball bat".

"I'm beggin' ya baby, cut out your off the wall jive" SBW II

Geeeez, there are just so many from Sonny Boy that I love. He was just the baddest bluesman to have ever walked the face of this earth. Love that man.

Just heard one at a Buicks concert this weekend:

"I don't mind my job.
It's the work I hate."

Don't know if it's original to them, but I laughed out loud.

Off B.B. King's "Live At The Regal"....try this on for size..... B.B. is singin' a tune called "How Blue Can You Get". He has the crowd whipped into a
frenzy, ladies faintin' and such, and then he drops the bomb..."I bought you a steak dinner, you said thanks for the snack, I let you live in my penthouse, you said it was a shack, (and then the all-time bomb) I gave you seven children.....AND NOW,....YOU WANT TO GIVE THEM BACK !!!!

FOLKS, THERE ARE A MILLION FAVORITE LINES IN BLUES TUNES, BECAUSE BLUES ARE REAL. BUT IN MY LIFE OF PLAYIN' AND LISTENIN' TO THE BLUES
THAT LINE IS THE ALL TIME CAPPER. [/i][/b]

dont know who its by. i came across the song years ago in gippsland victoria sung by Mick Hill.Think the songs called "aint gonna be your fool" . This is how the song ends.

I'll be goddam 6 foot under the ground, dead in my grave, buried and long forgot (stop)
i'll be so long gone and forgotten my skin will have turned and returned to the nutrients and the elements and the molecules from which it originated (stop)
i mean to say that the genus and the species of the worms that used to crawl in and out of the sockets of my eyelid holes will have vanished from the face of the earth (stop)
I'll see the earth leave its orbit (stop)
I'll wear the rings of Saturn for a ring around my little pinky(stop)
I'll see your sister marry a venusian(stop)
I will see you dead (stop)
I'll see your lover dead (stop)
I'll see her lover dead (stop)
I'll see his lover dead (stop)
I'll see her lover dead (stop)
I'll see her love dead (stop)
I'll see that b###ch dead (stop)
I'll see everyone you loved, touched, smelt, saw in your life or any of your descendants lives right down to 168 persons roasted and tortured in hell for one million trillion years, sixteen eternities, 27 forevers, one thousand years after that before i will be YOUR FOOL

Mick Hill delivered this ending word perfect every time no matter how much lubricant was consumed and it always brought down the house. Anyone out there know where the song originated from?

my other favourite would have to be

dont care how great you are
dont care what you worth
coz when it all ends up
you got to go back to mother earth 8)

Dream I met the devil
He is waitin' at the gate
Say "come on in Red
You ain't a minute late"
Said he lead me to his kingdom
Lead me by my arm
But he wouldn't move my body
Less I grease his palm
I's in trouble
And I'll tell you the reason why
I'm just too poor people
I'm too poor to go lay down and die
