Back to the Country

One of my favorite albums yet is Snooky Prior and Johnny Shine "Back to the Country". What a great album. I love the remake of "Terraplane". The guitar work on this album is great. If anyone gets a chance, and you have not heard it, you should check it out.

I never heard of the album, but those are two of my favorite musicians. I'll definitely be looking for it.

I don't know for sure, but I was recently told that Snooky Prior is living about an hour from me, across the river in Illinois. According to my friend, he lives in a little house just outside a town of a couple hundred people. He said he went looking for him one day but never could find the place.

I'm trying to talk him into making another attempt.

That disc is on Blind Pig ......
they usually have a 5 for $50 dollar deal going on their website....
last time I was there it was http://www.blindpigrecords.com/5for50

And Snooky was living down in southern Illinois but I can't recall the name of the town .

My favorite Johnny Shines album is still Too Wet To Plow , which has just been rereleassed yet again . It'll raise the hair on the back of your neck for sure .
