I know this might be old news to some of you, but I saw it for the first time this weekend. All I can say is Whoa...............I knew Son House had some issues, but uh, whoa! What a great video this is. I finished watching it and looked over at my wife (who is not really a blues fan)and she was sitting there with a dumb struck look on her face. I asked her well............did you like it? She just kinda mumbled something about insanity, and painfully beautiful and got up and left. I gotta tell ya Ive have never seen anything like it. I don't think that Son was playing for us, I think he was playing for his own salvation. I couldn't believe how completely obsessed he is with his own salvation. Bukka White was great, but it was hard not to rewind back to Son. I know I would hate to be the guy that had to follow that. So, any way, I was just wondering if any body else that has seen had any thoughts.
