Wow, I've never been much of a JLH fan, but I think I am converted. This is an amazing cd. I was listening to it online and I had to buy both volumes. What a great sound, and his voice sounds amazing too.

yea, that's my altime favorite Hooker album as well. Just awesome.

I looked this album up last week when the topic came here on the forum and promptly ordered both volumes. They got here last night, I LOVE them.
This is what I was expecting when I got the "rare performances" dvd, but that just turned out to be like 3 songs that were cool and the rest with some crappy band. Fantastic.
And my mother, who likes alot of the stuff I do but never really expresses any interest in it, came in and asked me to burn her a copy. Nice.
