Bukka White and Fred Mcdowell. For slide, that's all you'll really need.. ever..

Houndog Taylor, Elmore James, J B Hutto, Blind Willie Johnson. Homesick James, George Thorogood's slide but not his fretted work. I have an idea there's some slide Earl Hooker around as well. More rocky, but Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top).

David Hole and Bernard Allison are killer slide players. Also Damon Fowler outta Florida, not as well known but the kid can play!

BLUES besides Daddy Rich

Postby daddyrich » Thu Dec 01, 2005 1:30 pm

Here are some more choices (if you like famous people)

Junior Wells
Elmore James
Muddy Waters
J.B. Lenior
Leadbelly
Albert King
Freddie King
BB King
Anyone with affiliation of a King
and Daddy Rich of course
Robert Johnson
Buddy Guy
Chris Cornell (a white boy who has soul in his voice, not blues though)

So, there you have it. And Daddy Rich "Pay Your Dues" Is on sale now for $9.95 at CDBaby. Real as it gets blues, from Clarksdale, MS born and raised.

Good Day all...
