B B King Live at Cook County Jail vinyl LP going in the mail

Postby LesFromChicago » Sat Apr 17, 2010 2:45 am

Recently I got hold of something that might be a collector's item;
it is B B King Live at Cook County Jail vinyl LP in fairly good condition;

As soon as I laid eyes upon the record, I knew what I wanted to do with it;
there's this guy in Scotland whose been very kind to me and of major service to blues fans and players world-wide for at least 5 or 6 years, and I been wishing I had something nice to send to him;
so I immediately thought of him when I got hold of this Live at County Jail;

Does anyone here have experience and advice on packaging the vinyl LP for the long treacherous journey from Chicago, USA to Aberdeen, Scotland?

Sandwich it between masonite, wrap it in bubble and send it USPS Priority.

Thanks for the replies; as I do not reckon I'll be making it to Scotlan any time soon, I guess I'll go with the masonite, bubble-wrap.
