austin music scene in pictures 1980's

Hi All: I got this email today from Niles Fuller. He was an eccentric photographer whose passion was doing portraits of the austin musicians, music lovers, eccentric personalities. He managed to get just about everyone in his studio for a shoot. His work is now in the Texas music library at UT in austin. He posted some of his favorites. On a blues note there are - wc clark, keith fergusion, hubert sumlin, chris duarte, gary primach, clifford antone, jimmy carl black and more. It gives a pretty cool insight as to the scene back then. Walter

Nice photos, Walter. Talk about taking you back! A lot of those nights that you were playing the Black Cat, I was playing next door at Joe's. It was a different time and place.

Fascinating site Walter. I don't think I could handle that much excitement at this point in my life. I get tired.
