Blues Challenge Little Rock area

Arkansas River Blues Society is holding their annual Blues Challenge next saturday at Cornerstone Pub in North Little Rock, from 7 p.m to 12 a.m. 7 acts are slated, 3 solo/duos and 4 bands.

this is of course a competition to determine who to send to Memphis for the IBC in february.

like last year, Jolene and i are kicking it off. our competition is going to be stiff, both other acts were sent to memphis last year, one by this society, the other by spa city blues society. but in our favor is the fact that Jo and i have developed new material and we're a year smoother and more polished.

if you happen to be in North Little Rock on next saturday, Cornerstone Pub is located on Main street, NLR, less than a block north of Broadway. cover to help defray the cost to send the winners to memphis.

wish us luck, success, whatever.

Good luck JB.

My cousin will be representing the Topeka Blues society, Josh Vowell and the Rumble.

Remember to leave for the gig early.

well due to a bad cold, we had to cancel our thing at the competition. just doesn't work well to be sneezing, coughing etc on stage!

thanks for the well wishes.

Sorry to hear that JB. I'm fighting allergies right now. Makes it tough to lead singing with 5 pounds of cotton stuffed in your head.
