Thanks for the info jbone. I have had a 59 R.I.Bassman for 11 years and have had some of Gerald Weber's tricks performed on it about 9 years ago by a local guy that went to work for Gerald at Kendrick Amps. I am thinking that the varying speaker characteristics has to be the way to go to make what I have already, near perfect . Oh, and maybe a small fork lift, unless you can find that "ray gun". The only flat cone (straight cone) speakers, that I think that Sligo may be using are Weber 25 watt alnicos or ceramics. From what I have been able to find out, they have the characteristics that you have described. Of course I may be wrong, but I haven't found any Eminence or any other speakers that fit that description I recently noticed that the 4x10" speaker "Sonny Junior" amp is equipped with 2 different types of speakers. I will be perfectly satisfied if I can just get a bit of breakup at lower volume settings. DeFordhttp://bigroadblues.com/forum/pos ... 2b&t=7969#
