Oz (what day is it down there anyway? ) I have had good luck the the "Bottle O' Blues" mic. I have 2, and I've been very happy with them. They're not "traditional" looking, but they work great through my 68 Champ (go figure :D ). Just search the name, you'll find the site, complete with sound files. Other sites compare this mic with the usuals, providing cool sound files, so you can get an idea if the mic is for you before you buy. Good luck!

LOL! No, not a shot at all! I had the opportunity to visit the Land of 'Oz in the mid '80's. What a great country!
The idea that I was in a different DAY than the rest of my family at home always amazed me, as did the reversal of seasons compared to my home in the States. Saw a bit of Perth, Rockingham and then on to Hobart. Someday, I'll be back. :D

Countries, but not the States yet Unfortunately :( Where you hail from there?
Did check out the " Bottle 'l Blues", looks cool thanks, but settled on the D112C
in da finish.

Let us know how you like the new mic. I am interested in hearing. A small aside, I have just ordered the cab and chassis for a tweed 5F1 that is my next project. A 5F1 is a good harp amp. Have fun with your new toy and if you play an hour a day, you will improve.

Jay, How much you pay for Chassis/cab? Interested as I bought
my Clone Complete from a Home builder $AU 450- jensen
Special Design speaker. Man! it it loud with my Tele plugged
in. I knew nothing about them when I bought it, even that it was primarily a Harp Amp. I just wanted a small Tweed Amp, but she's a Keeper, hanging to test Superlux out.
I have been backing myself up on Harp with Guitar for years, ala Neil Young, improvising alot. Will that be of help
learning Blues harp :?:

I got the cab(MOJOTONE) for $145 on ebay, the chassis for $65 from Wber, and the other parts I have in my shop, Hammond PT & OT, I want to fit a "10 speaker in it if it will fit. Right now I am torn between making an EL84 or 6V6 type F1 circuit. If you can do Niel Young than you will be able to do blues, Just remember that you will be sucking more than blowing. HA!

I bought a POS mic at Radio Shack for about $9.00. Works great for a Harp. I use it for talking to the band through the monitors, I do the sound man thing when needed. One night I was running the board and decided to play the Harp , so I turned myself up in the mains and let it fly. Sounded great. (It's my girlfriend's band and they let play on occasion when they are doing Blues songs). Anyways, the cheap mic worked, it has an on and off switch. I usually use a Green Bullet, but the cheapo surprised me. I wouldn't recommend it for serious play, but for learning it's not bad.

The 5F1 Chassis sounds great pushing 4 weber 10 inch speakers. I Love this amp!!!

Ozzie you got that mic in yet? Curious to see what you think of it, everyone at The Blues Box seems to give it high reviews.
