Champion 600 for harp

So has anybody picked one of these new Champs up for a rehearsal amp...? They got one in down at my favorite music store and I'll play it one of these days. I don't have any real use for one right now, but I should see what it sounds like. I'm interested in seeing if the high gain jack is useful for harp, or if you gotta stick with the low gain jack.

I tried one at GC last week and was not that impressed. It sounded sort of boxy. I have heard that a new upgraded speaker and better tubes will improve it. That brings the cost of a marginal amp up to around $250, more that I would spend on an amp that is on a PCB circuit. and needs to be modded right out of the box. It may sound better with a guitar, I was playing a harp and sometimes what ia good for harp is not good for guitar, and visa versa.
