What's up with The Blues Box???

The lowdown on the Mississippi Sax. Just for Google, this section is about harmonicas.

What's up with The Blues Box???

Postby blues_man_dan » Sat Sep 02, 2006 9:14 pm

I frequent other harp forums and have not been able to log into The Blues Box for some time now... I am a registered user but when I attempt to login it reads that I must "activate" my account... I follow the steps and do not receive the activation code...

BrianP... I see that you post on the forum, are you having this issue?

I can not even send a message to the webmaster to see what's up...

Anyone else that frequents that site having issues, please let me know or help a brother out...

Thanks

It's not letting me log in either.

I haven't seen Randy post in quite a while and I noticed that the Bluesbox link has disappeared from all of his previous posts on this forum. Strange.

I did a house clean up of the forum, tried something new for the server to run smoother, yes all history was wiped clean and some people didnt like that but thats no reason it cant start fresh.

I did check and might have had some settings waked out, you can try now and see if you can login ok if not let me know and I can try better to figured out whats going on there, but it should be ok now.

I was at a forum and some guy accused me of spamming my advertisments in my sigs so im trying to be a nice fella.

I have a fresh URL for you guys its a nice pretty authenticated fresh cool.... you get the idea its http://www.thebluesbox.com

BluesBox, you've been a valued contributor here for a good while. I hardly think that a pointer to your service in your sigs here is "spamming."

I went there after the Harmonica Heaven forums went away. There was some good stuff there that got nuked liked Brian P's review of 8" speakers.

When the Blues Box archive was killed, I was rather disappointed. I drop in there, but haven't posted anything.

I appreciate that ! Thanks...

Beachmaster The Blues Box is some years old, I just performed a server purging so the posts are down to the startingline again.

I dont think I will try that move again though I dont think its going to do much for the performance anyway.

Sorry to hear about the loss of old posts. I had that happen to me on a forum a couple of years ago and lost a lot of good stuff. All you can do is pick it up and kick it up. Looking forward to being a part of the resurrection!
