Unidyne 545 microphone, p. butterfield used one alan wilson used one
on HOOKER `N` HEAT a great fat tone for harp. i have not heard much talk about them. alan wilson was getting trombone tones on hooker `n` heat if you never heard this and you like big fat harp tones check it out.
I`ve used one over 30 yrs. i never cared for the biscut shaped mics.
because their size in your hands force fed the harp sound with no air chamber around the mic. when you use a 545 you can make an air
pocket around the mic. in your hand. with this you can have more tone varitions,like-cupping both hands and lifting only one finger for a
small opening and get a different tone than wa-wa your hole hand which is also great. anyway ,have fun.......
