two new mp3s..

I added two songs to my Soundclick tonight: a new version of "Shake 'Em On Down" that owes a debt to Tommy McClennan, and a kind of nonblues song called "For the Moonlight."
And that's that, off to write a paper!

Good shootin' Jim! That's pretty close to street level in my book. You got the blues, man.

Jim I love your music man. You can tell that stuff bubbles up from someplace deep. Your playing is good and I think your voice is what makes your music.

Keep it up brotha!

Thanks for the compliments, guys. You know, you record this stuff and post it and just kind of send it out to the void to hope someone listens. So it's a good feeling when you have confirmation that someone actually does listen.
Nick, about 3 years ago my only thought was "guitar." I wrote songs on it and just kind of tacked on vocals afterwards. It's interesting how I've completely turned around since then. The guitar is obviously still important, but it's accompaniment.

Jim, you are doing good! I like your gritty vocals and playing style. Hope to hear more from you. By the way, I was raised in Montclair, NJ and lived in Belleville before I moved to SC in 2002.
