New (old) Blues from Ireland

Postby celtic blues » Tue Feb 19, 2008 3:36 pm

Hi all,

I've just finished recording some electric blues, and I'd like to get some opinions, good or bad. Four of the songs are old blues tunes you'll probably know, although maybe played and sung a little differently. The other two (the last two) are originals.

Blues has always been popular here, and is getting more so, but I'm interested in getting opinions from across the world. Thanks.

Thanks Blueswrench, that's appreciated. I guessed the one where I played slide was going to be popular!

I like it too. Personally, I like my blues a little more raw and hard edged, but I really appreciate your smooth sound, and especially all the space in the music. It's really carried off well, imo. It's a good sound. Real good. That kinda music could find a home in more upscale restaurants and clubs I think.

Thanks for the replies and the encouragement. I think our sound has a little more edge live, when we have a drummer, but for these recordings I used a drum sequencer. Next I will work on a way to record our drummer.
