Shake 'Em On Down Blues

It's been a while since I posted anything, but I just got a Zoom H2. It's ridiculously easy to use, so expect a lot more stuff from me from now on.

Great stuff as always. There are a million and one "punk blues" fat Possum imitators out there these days but very few have the knowledge to get in deep and playing the real blues rather than blues-based rock. Man, you're so deep into the blues there's mud in your hair.

Am I hearing a few Charley Patton licks in there?

By the by, over the last few weeks I've been listening to Collard Greens and Gravy's new disc "Devil In the Wooodpile" of late and I think it would be right up your alley. They do a great version of Shake... that I figure you need to hear. PM me your address and I'll hook you up with a copy.

Thanks, man. Glad you like it.

I can't say that I consciously put any Charlie Patton licks in there. But I think the guy walked on water, so it wouldn't surprise me if some of his stuff seeped into my playing.

I've never heard of that band. But I'll give it a listen. Check your inbox.
