Apple Mac problems

Postby maxx england » Tue Jul 31, 2007 10:42 am

My friend, le Pedagogue, has been using what I am told is Garageband 2 on his Mac, and since he has gone to Garageband 3, has had problems with saving or even loading. I know nothing about these matters (computers use silicon chips, I'm still banging flint together), so does anyone have experience with Macs and music/video programmes?

I've got Garageband 3 running on my Macs, no problems.

Here are some (hopefully) helpful links:

What is he using for audio I/O? All of the Garageband problems I've ever had were when my settings for I/O were messed up (thanks Audacity!). I would open up Audio MIDI Setup, which is in /Applications/Utilities/ and make sure everything is right. I don't know what "right" is, it depends on Garageband and your hardware.

I'm running a slow little 2000 iMac, pre-Garageband, so I'm no help. Thought I was going to get the kid's twin processor G5 in my grubby hands when he went off to New York, but now he's home. He'll be going back again soon, though...
