Went over to a friend's the other day and laid down some stuff using his confuser gear. We'll try to set up the better stuff on You Tube.

One thing - there's this minor tonic groove I use where you play the 2nd & 3rd strings together on the same fret in open E at different intervals on the neck at the same time as playing open E & B bass strings. You can get something heavy and threatening going through a normal amp. He massaged it, and frankly, it bloody frightened me. Dirt on top off the basic Strat signal and then chorussed, it came out like a film score where the Dark Empire comes over the hill and there's burning houses, women and children running around like headless chickens and psychos in ugly helmets chasing round on horses.

Got to go public this year.

USB Interface for Computer Recording ??

Postby grady » Wed Jan 03, 2007 7:22 am

What are you guys using ??

I just got a kick-ass new computer, Cakewalk Home Studio Producer and
everything I need except for a Sound card or USB interface for recording.

The M-Audio Mobile-Pre looks pretty good and it only costs about a $150.00

Just wondering what everyone else is using and how you like it.

Postby slickcat » Thu Jan 04, 2007 12:48 am

Hey Grady...check out the line 6 toneport. Its a usb interface with mic preamps.amp modelling and effects. There are two models the UX1 has two inputs one for guitar and one for a mic. the UX2 has 2 guitar inputs and two mic inputs also has level meters and headphone outputs.
I have a UX1 and love it.
