Streetsmart Band recordings

Postby bosco » Thu Dec 28, 2006 6:32 pm

We've received a mixed version of our studio recordings from Dec 18 th.

I've posted them on our webpage @

http://www.sonicbids.com/streetsmart

Click on the audio button after you reach the page. There are a few farts and burps, just to let you know it's actually us and not some lame imposters. We recorded 9 songs that night, most of them in one take with only a few vocal overdubs. For some reason, the site clips the first few seconds off of your MP3 when you upload the files. If anyone can shed some light on that, I would appreciate it.

Comments welcome!

Hey Bosco, I ran 'em Lo-Fi on my Windows 98 at work (I have one of the last two 98s in the store.) , and they streamed fine. They sound great. I heard the Potato song before, in your
e-mail, but for some reason it sounded better here at work this time, even though I already liked the sound. It sure is nice to hear that stuff at work, and now I have my earphones here, so I don't have to alert the General Manager that I'm bluesin' on the job.

That's probably because this is an all new studio recorded version. The other version that was posted on the site previously was recorded at our rehearsal room with just a couple of area mics.

The sonicbids service we signed up for only allows three MP3s. You can get additional song space but you have to upgrade your service to do it. The service package we have is only $6.99 a month...a lot cheaper than you can maintain your own web site.

Thanks for the great comments guys, I really appreciate it!

Good stuff Bosco, it's all pretty smooth stuff. I really like the vocal on the Nee nu song but I liked the 3rd song best...more bluesy I guess.

Awesome, tight music Bosco! I've always liked te ni nee ni nu, and you guys do a bang up version of it. Cliff has a great voice, unique and natural (I assume that's you :? ) I would love to see you guys live. Should book in at the Zoo Bar here in Lincoln and play an all blues set. You'd rock the house.

I think I'll put my guitar away for a while and take up checkers :D

Keep on Bluesin'
