Soundclick, Myspace, or something else?

Postby sweetness » Thu Jul 06, 2006 4:22 am

I'm asking for a friend of mine who is wondering about the best place for a musician to put his stuff on the internet. He's not a blues guy (he actually does soft jazz and standards, think Harry Connick, Jr), but I figured some of the musicians here might have some ideas on this topic.

Any suggestions, thoughts, ideas?

Thanks in advance,
Sweetness

Soundclick lets you post alot more songs, whereas MySpace will probably get you more exposure. It's a tradeoff. I have both.. lol..

Does anyone other than teenagers and perverts actually browse myspace?

I haven't used either - my Cd is available through CD Baby, and partial sound clips can be heard there.

There's a lot of good blues talent on Myspace and I've met some good blues musicians through there

I've finally posted something on Soundclick; a song from my forthcoming CD, "Streetwise".

Let me know what you think;
