Sharing self recordings?

Postby Buffalo_Bill » Thu Dec 22, 2011 1:29 am

I'm just a newbee on this subject:
What is a good site for uploading and sharing my own recordings?
Let me know.

Soundclick is great -I've been using it for a few years. A few recent recordings I made are here;
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=810943

They've got a nice embedded player you can put on a web page easily.

Also trying out Soundcloud -

With Soundcloud you can upload longer files and their player looks great too.

Thanks Dan!
You know your stuff, great fidelity on those recordings, with no problems from my outdated system and browser.
Your stuff is very good, I'm humbled!

Do you get a good response from listeners?

Thanks! Bill

I have used soundclick also; Also mp3.com.au
Maybe I will try that soundwave too.

If you record yourself with video, you can post the movie at YouTube, or Vimeo.com, or MySpace.

I think feedback from listeneers is sparse, well it has been for me, even with songs getting top chart numbers, hardly ever get feedback posted.

Yes I do - one listener went so far as to say that "You know your stuff, great fidelity on those recordings..."

Seriously though - it's been a slow build. My best responses online have been through my live streaming broadcasts through Second Life - another avenue where anyone with a mic and a fast enough computer can get their music heard. A supportive community of listeners there.

Keep us posted when you do upload your sounds.

Soundcloud is nice and quick to setup, but I do love the Soundclick site and the ratings. Why not do both?
