slim harpo/jimmy reed inspired

Hi all: I have been listening to jimmy reed and slim harpo all day(and most days) inbetween recording. I love the sounds on those recordings. They are what I bounce my mixes off while I am waiting for them to convert to wave and mp3 files. The warmth and top heavy (vocals/harp/guitar) and discreet backing ( rhytm guitar/drums/bass) plate reverb, is the way I like my music to sound. It is more akin to the live playing I did with just a mic for the singer and nothing else going through a PA. Todays blues stuff is usually way heavy on bass and drums. I don't think my music sounds like either of these guys, but their sound sure influences me. Walter
