Hey,db57- if Luther picked it up somewhere,we'd never find out where--that guy was everywhere . At least his last sidemen are still around,but they had to have got dizzy from the travel as well,if his bios are accurate.

While we're on the subject, I often used BOZ's BigRoad byline on stage- the Townes Van Zandt quote;

"There's two kinds of music, the blues and Zippity-Do-dah."

The real bluesheads always get a howl out of that one... less informed folks just scratch their heads with a puzzled look. :D

It'd look good in a fortune cookie.

We did a gig last night, which was actually a hurricane Katrina benefit dance. It was a full day of entertainment and bands with us as the headliner at 9pm. I'm still trying to get my head around that one :-)
I walked out on stage, and as I always do, I asked if anyone there liked the blues. As usual, everyone yells 'YES'. I then said, and I kid you not, "Bosco once said, if you don't like the blues, you have a hole in your soul" Everyone yelled again, and we went into our cover of Everyday I have the blues.

It turned out to be a great night, but as you can see, there are some members here that have made an impression on me. This is a great place to hang out!
