I have also found that either a gift certificate from a spa or finger nail place is a sure way to get the wife out of the house so i can sneak the new guitar in ...Of course then when she comes home she is so happy even if she does notice the new guitar she doesn't say much... :)

Speaking of clueless, a couple months back my mom asked me "When did you get that pretty guitar?" It was the Agile she had bought me back in 2007.

This only works if you already have at least about 7 guitars amongst which to slip in the new adoptee.

Pretty hard for me to pull off, with only two guitars to my name, a tiny house, a Honda Civic with a trunk full of beach stuff, and no basement. But I DO have neighbors.....

Thanks for the suggestion.

Note to self: Buy a house with a basement.
