Would you recomend a Dean Resonator? Also, are the roundneck resophonics very good for just regular acoustic blues picking, outside of sliding?

I use mine for a lot of picking stuff. Also, I have an Epi wood body reso that I love. It's pretty cheap.

Zoltan, you speak in £s. Whereabouts are you?

I'm gonna take a wild guess here and say somewhere within the United Kingdom, its Crown Dependencies, or the British Overseas Territories of South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands.

I didn't' swap the cone on mine, but I did change out the biscuit. That actually made a big difference.

Definitely the Rogue line are the cheapest resos I've played that are any good. I've played things from Dean, Fender, and Epiphone that I didn't care for. And used is the way to go for sure. You may find a used Johnson in the same price range if you look hard enough.

I've got the Rogue brass resonator (it's nickel plated, which I think is what you meant by "chrome") and I've been very happy with it. I ended up swapping out the cone and biscuit but I wouldn't say that's really all that necessary, I mainly did it out of boredom.
What about the hound dog?
