Flat picks are pretty limiting.

I've been learning blues guitar for five months and I realized that I enjoy playing more without pick.
My question is this: is it really limiting playing blues without pick ?
Or it's better to learn well playing with pick?
Can anyone enlist some historic blues guitarist known for playing without pick?

There are plenty blues greats who didn't use a pick at all, it's really up to YOU to make that decision... jeff beck is a great modern example of someone who has achieved amazing fluidity and speed using fingers only... or check out how SRV sometimes uses fingers for certain notes in between using his pick... anything is possible!

Take for instance to Rory Gallagher: a perfect mix of a pick and fingers. I'm not saying it is easy, but you can mix them.

But finally and far more important: do whatever you feel is right for you. :D

All the best,
B.

Many blues standards on guitar can only be done fingerstyle, of course picks can be used this way but fingers only are much easier.
