The last post on the easy arpeggios that cross the neck
Here's some friendly theory

Let's look at the 2nd arpeggio as an example

-3
-5
-5
-5
-7
-8

Now let's cut it in half

-----------3 G
-----------5 E
-----------5 C
-5 G
-7 E
-8 C

As you can see it's two small C chords or triads as their called.
What we do on the bottom three strings can be totally duplicated on the top three strings.

I gotta say that none of this is music, it requires an living person to make music from it.
I'm sure all the players out there that have worked for years on it can testify.

Hard sweat, no matter if it's this technical info I'm presenting, or playing from the heart.

Think of them as either the I, IV or V chords in a blues
C7 is the V7 chord in an F blues
C7 is the IV chord in a G blues
C7 is the I chord in a C blues

I've wanted to share this since I started here, enjoy and if something isn't clear

These are all the same chord, found in three spots on the neck;

-----------------------------8
--1-------------------------8
--0------------5-----------9
--2------------5-----------10
--3------------7-------------
----------------8-------------

And here are the other chords that are the same

-----------------------------12
--5-------------------------13
--5------------9------------12
--5-----------10------------10
--3-----------10--------------
---------------8--------------

The reason these two groups of chords are the same is because each chord has the same notes

Well, the basic idea of the five CAGED chord shapes and how the move up the neck.

But what if. I told you there are only TWO SHAPES, not five. Hmm the CAGED chords with two shapes.

I'm keeping this four note chords for a reason. The full CAGED chords is more than we need, four note chords are good for guitarists.
