Don't know how thick or wide they are, I think it varies a lot considering they're hand made and not made by CNC..

Keep an eye on Frank's Discounted page. My triolian was a steal. It was listed as discontinued (not blem) and I can only suppose that Frank needed room on his wall for newer stock. Maybe the colour wasn't popular - an olive green & black "sunburst" (strange sunburst colours - must be global warming at work). To buy something similar here in New Zealand, I would be paying nearly twice what I paid Republic. It's a whole new adventure for me getting used to playing bottleneck style after getting lap slide down fairly well over the last couple of years. Now, of course, the joys of hunting down the perfect slide. :D Peace.

Yep I've seen them on the NZ version of eBay - Mytrade or whatever it's called - going for prices well over $1000.00 !

Man, Republic definitely seem to be dominating the reso market of late, and some nice soudning (and looking) guitars to boot. Shame they cost so much lmao :(

Actually looking at some of the odd deals coming up on their discounted page, this does seem like a pretty good option!

When I started playing back in the 60s, there were no PB strings in NZ (or not that I knew of) and Gibson Sonomatic which were pure nickel wound were what I used. When I saw these John Pearse, I thought I'd try them for old times sake and I have been very pleased with the tone. D'Addario also make a pure nickel EJ22. I wondered if you had discovered another maker of pure nickel strings. Btw, pure nickel round wound are not to confused with "nickel round wound"electric strings which are nickel plated on steel windings and which are brighter for electric guitars.

And just to make sure you get the message, I find your vids extremely instructive. They always contain lots of information on technique and also the hardware side of reso playing. Peace :D
