Sorry, I must have missed the bit about answering three questions.
I don't know the other two answers, so I guess you'll be looking for a knowledgeable Eric Bibb fan to complete the set.

Leaving April 28 to hunt turkeys in Missouri, I'll be back May 6. If Rico or someone could start the May trivia thread for me I would appreciate it. Thanks!

.......................................................................
An artist wrote a song that asks a well known blues singer to pass on a message of encouragement to another well known blues singer, relatively unknown at the time the song was set( i.e. song was set in the past).

A clue, the songs author/singer's father was also a well known in folk and theater circle's.

The answer needs all three names
1. Author/ singer
2. The two Bluesmen its about
PLUS
3. The songs title.

Yse, all the people you mentioned were indeed cited as influences, but as documented in Caught in the Crossfire (a very good bio of SRV), he said that the greatest influence on his sound was T-Bone.

Lee Harvey Oswald was a resident of Oak Cliff but lets hope he inspired no-one.

Your looking for Aaron Thibeaux Walker I thinks.

Researching, numerous influences were mentioned brother Jimmie, the 3 Kings and Albert Collins among others.
