I'm currently reading Robert Palmer's Deep Blues, and sometimes get confused about who is influencing who. Are there any charts online that show 1. influence of people on one another in the delta, and 2. how various songs evolved?

Palmer briefly goes over how Charley Patton dogged Henry Sloan. He talks a little about Patton's influence on Burnett (Howliln Wolf). He goes a bit into how Robert Johnson's woman was Lockwood's mom and this led to Lockwood sometimes following RJ around. It seems these stories would make great flow charts.

And also how the songs were appropriated by British musicians and later incorporated into classic rock and city blues.

Thanks for any help on this,

RC
