if you're really interested you should go to sligo amps dot com and call steve at the phone # he has there. he knew what he was doing when he built this amp, and he does several different fender circuits and configurations. i bet he could do a killer deluxe!

i had this amp out last wednesday and it definitely kept up with the electric band, 2 guitars and all. in fact i had to drop the volume a bit so it wouldn't blow anyone up.

Nope, nothing wrong with that. You should use whatever works best for you. I've heard pro players use solid state amps and tube amp simulators (I think that's the right term) and sound great. I've gigged and recorded with a Pignose and had people ask me if I was using a vintage tube amp. And then there's James Cotton, who plays a vocal mic though the pa and sounds like, well, like James Cotton!
