It matched my voice and reso-guitars well, played with a pick it had the tone and volume needed to work properly as an acoustic bass!!
Still haven't tried to plug it in live..
I'm really proud and happy for the idea, we're gonna use it more on stage and post some clips soon so y'all can see and hear it..

Thanks, it sure does!!
After a few gig I can give more info but for now it seems it has great volume acoustically and plugged in the tone is like on any other bass, kinda..

But most importantly, it looks cool, haha! And there's not one more like it anywhere, that's a bit fun as well... :D

There's also some metal body biscuit reso basses out there but they don't have the cool tricone/singlecone mix in their looks.

I'm not a bass player at all but I do feel that my new little travel size Bassolian look better than the other "real" reso-basses. (to me, that is..) :wha:

That's the whole point for me, to have a cool reso-bass to bring on tours when the double-bass just takes too much space in the car, lol!!

And, it sounds just right acoustic and plugged in, I love it already!
I'm really pleased with the mod, I'll get back with more on the matter after a few gigs down the road..
Gonna be interesting!! (for me at least)

This is by far the coolest bass I've ever come across, haha!
OK John, but you know it's not designed for bass.
