Bosco: the bass player was actually a damn good sax player by 8th grade; he had me listening to Coltrane at the same time we were learning Kinks,Yardbirds, DC5, etc. We played junior high dances, and parties, and basically spent most of our time pissin' off the neighbors. We'd occasionally practice in his basement, and the whole house would buzz. It wuz fun.

BUBBA- Let me get this straight, he had a Fender Bassman amp and a TEISCO bass??? Now there's a man with priorities. Usually young'ins sink the grubstake on an instrument and then work their way up to a better amp. And the "Briars"? Gotta be a good story there.

RICO- Any updates on Jen's bass playing? (That is her name as I recall, isn't it?) Be cool to have a family band.

Her husband's a drummer. She's played keyboard in a rock band, and used to be pretty accomplished in the junior-music-club classical piano scene She's got a good sense for music and I'm sure she'll figure out the basics on her own pretty quickly. Her brother did when he was playing bass for a while, but he's infatuated with playing that crazy Adam Jones Tool stuff all the time now.
