The other interesting one, playing Cmajor, instead of playing Eb from the blues scale, flatten it again! Ebb, or D, so it becomes a 9th chord effectively, it's one of my techniques, just change dodgy notes, go chromatic a bit!

Bassically play around and do whatever solong as it sounds good! Strum the strings of a piano, stick knives in the organ, whatever!

For instance, let's say I'm in the key of C.

I'm playing the usual chords....C, F, G as well as Dm, Em, Am, Bdim

besides just playing the blues scale the whole wy through, have you all learned ways of playing other scales (blues or otherwise) at the different changes of chord?

and How do I avoid certain "clashes," say between the Eb of the blues scale and the E in C major?

I like keyboard playing that changes scales/modes through the chord progression.

thanks
